Things to Know – Johns Hopkins
• Johns Hopkins (17-3, 9-1 CC) plays the second of two straight key home games as the Blue Jays welcome Ursinus (14-7, 8-3 CC) to Goldfarb Gym.

• The Blue Jays are coming off a 59-51 win over #9/#10 Gettysburg on Wednesday night. Tied at 38 entering the fourth quarter, the Blue Jays outscored the Bullets 21-13 in the final period to pick up the victory. With the win, the Blue Jays are now a half-game ahead Gettysburg in Centennial Conference standings.

• In the race for a spot in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament, the Blue Jays officially need just one win to lock up a spot. The top six teams in the final regular season standings earn a spot in the tournament. With each team in the league having either four or five games remaining, it’s likely the Blue Jays have already secured a spot as the four teams with four or five losses in league play have cross-over games that will result in some of them absorbing at least one additional loss.

• With the win over Gettysburg, Johns Hopkis has won eight straight and 14 of its last 15 dating back to the start of December.

• With 15 points against Gettysburg, senior Michaela O’Neil is now within striking distance of the 1,000-point mark. She now has 988 points in her career and needs just 12 points to become the 17^th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. If she reaches the mark today, it would be the second straight game she has reached a milestone as she grabbed her 500^th career rebound in Wednesday’s win against Gettysburg. With 12 points, she will become the 11^th player in program history to reach 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.

• With 810 points, 724 rebounds, 223 assists and 152 steals, senior Greta Miller is the first player in program history to reach 800 points, 700 rebounds, 200 assists and 150 steals.

• Miller (105), Jadyn Murray (103) and O’Neil (102) are believed to be the first trio of classmates to play in 100 or more games during their career since Alissa Burkholder, Ashley Felix and Ashanna Randall did it (2001-05).

• Dating back to the start of the 2022-23 season, the Blue Jays are 32-3 at home – that includes a 20-1 mark under head coach Rodney Rogan since the start of the 2023-24 season.

• JHU ranks 12^th in the nation in scoring defense (48.8) and ninth in field goal percentage defense (.311). The Blue Jays are also seventh in scoring margin (+22.24) and 16^th in bench points per game (29.8).

Things to Know – Ursinus
• Ursinus (14-7, 8-3 Centennial) is riding the crest of a four-game winning streak after topping Bryn Mawr, 72-43, in its last game. The Bears are 7-2 in their last nine games dating back to January 8.

• With the win over Bryn Mawr, the Bears took firm control of third place in the Centennial Conference standings with an 8-3 record in league play. Not every team in the league has played the same number of conference games to-date, but the Bears have one fewer CC loss than both McDaniel and Washington College. UC topped Washington College and still has one game remaining against the Shorewomen, but fell in its only game against McDaniel.

• Ursinus ranks second in the Centennial Conference in scoring offense (67.9) and leads the league in scoring in conference games only (68.6).

• The Bears feature one of the most dynamic players in the Centennial Conference in senior Chinwe Irondi. A three-time First Team All-Centennial Conference selection, Irondi is averaging 20.5 points and 10.4 rebounds this season and has scored 1,723 points with 974 rebounds in her career; she is bidding to become just the third player in league history to earn All-Centennial honors four times.

• It’s a balanced attack that makes head coach Bobbi Morgan’s team so difficult to defense. In addition to Irondi, Madison Smith (11.7), Colleen Blackman (11.6) and Ava Possenti (9.5) all average at least 9.5 points per game. Ursinus is the only team in the Centennial Conference with four players averaging 9.5 points per game or more.
