YORK, PA - The Johns Hopkins wrestling team dropped a 38-9 decision at York in the first dual meet of the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays picked up a pair of individual wins, including one by fall, to account for their nine points in the match.
York won the first four bouts of the match with a forfeit, pin and two major decision to build a 20-0 lead. The Blue Jays got on the board with a 4-2 win by decision from junior
Freddy Pimental at 157) and later added a first-period pin from
AJ Gordon at 174 to account for their two victories on the day.
The Blue Jays will return to action on Sunday when they travel to Virginia to participate in the Shenandoah Invitational
