BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Gettysburg on Wednesday night at Homewood Field. Junior Liz Feldhusen (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough) scored the game-winner for the Bullets at the 81:37 mark off of a crossing pass from junior Jenny Line (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle). The Blue Jays fall to 3-3 in conference play and 9-5-1 overall.
JHU fell behind early when freshman Katie Myers (Randallstown, MD/WSTES) scored for Gettysburg off of a rebound at 8:55. Sophomore forward Meg McIntosh (Los Angelas, CA/Brentwood) netted an unassisted goal for Hopkins at 86:52 to cut the score to 2-1. Hopkins made some bids to tie the game late in the second half but were turned away by the Bullets.
The Blue Jays return to action when they host conference rival Bryn Mawr on Saturday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m.
