BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team rebounded from a two-game losing streak to win key conference match over Bryn Mawr on Saturday afternoon at Homewood Field. The Blue Jays improve to 10-5-1 and 4-3 in the Centennial Conference.
JHU jumped out to a lead at the 28:54 mark when senior midfielder Erinn Sosa (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) took a pass from senior midfielder Annie Colabella (East Granby, CT/East Granby) and ripped one home from 18 yards out. The Blue Jays closed out the scoring at 89:58 when freshman forward Lauren Baumann (Milford, MI/Greenmills School) headed in a crossing pass from Sosa.
The match was dominated by Hopkins as it out-shot the Owls 23-0 and now own a 222-116 advantage over its opponents this season.
The Blue Jays return to action when they travel to McDaniel on Wednesday, October 22 to play a crucial conference match at 4:00 p.m.
