Baltimore, MD - The Johns Hopkins volleyball team swept Washington College, 3-0, Wednesday night in the White Athletic Center.
The Blue Jays, who won by game scores of 30-12, 30-10, 30-27, improved to 22-6 overall and 9-1 in league play. Hopkins also tied the school record by winning its ninth straight match. The Shorewomen fell to 4-26 overall and 2-8 in the conference.
Senior outside hitter Stephanie Kaliades (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood), playing in her final regular season home match, led the Blue Jay attack with 13 kills. Fellow senior Samantha Raggi (Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) added five service aces, while junior setter Betsy Baydala (Rockville Centre, NY/South Side) added 21 assists. Kaliades and sophomore outside hitter Kate O'Callaghan (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) each totaled eight digs.
Nanna Kozemchak and Lauren Ford had three kills each for Washington College, while Laura Shand had six digs and two solo blocks.
The Blue Jays conclude their regular season Saturday when the travel to Salisbury to take on the Sea Gulls in a 1 p.m. match.
