BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins wrestling team fell to McDaniel, 28-13 in Centennial Conference wrestling action this evening in Goldfarb Gymnasium. The Blue Jays dropped to 2-2 in the league and 5-9 overall, while McDaniel improved to 9-9 overall and 2-2 in conference action.

Hopkins opened the match with a 6-0 lead as freshman 125 John Witzenbocker (Merrick, NY/Chaminade) picked up his team-leading 16th win by forfeit. Following a pin by McDaniel, sophomore 141 Jason Suslavich (Winchester, MA/Winchester) won a 14-0 major decision to give JHU a 10-6 lead. Suslavich improved to 3-1 in Centennial action and 15-10 overall.

The Green Terror won the next five matches before sophomore 197 Tony Dambro (Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) won his third Centennial match of the season by a 5-2 decision. Dambro improved to 8-10 on the year. McDaniel won the final match to set the final score at 28-13.

The Blue Jays return to action Sunday as Hopkins hosts Washington & Lee and Albright College in a tri-match beginning at 11:00 a.m. The match versus Washington & Lee is JHU's final Centennial match of the season.
