BALTIMORE, MD - Senior Betsy Baydala (Rockville Center, NY/Southside) had 28 assists, 10 kills and 15 digs as the Johns Hopkins women's volleyball team edged Haverford 3-2 at Goldfarb Gymnasium. The Blue Jays improved to 11-9 overall and 5-2 in the Centennial Conference with today's league win.

Johns Hopkins lost the first game 30-28 but rallied to win the next two 31-29 and 30-28. The Fords took game four 30-26 to force the deciding fifth match, which the Blue Jays won 15-12.

Sophomore Lizzie Kay (Pacific Palisades, CA/The Cate School) had 40 digs while freshman Mary Gorski (Birmingham, MI/Shrine Catholic) finished with 19 assists and 16 digs. Juniors Katie O'Callaghan (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) and Jen Hajj (Boca Raton, FL/Pope John Paul II) had 19 and 16 kills.

The Blue Jays visit Washington College this Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.
