BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins volleyball team downed Washington College, 3-0 today in Centennial Conference volleyball action. The Blue Jays improve to 12-9 on the year and 6-2 in the conference.
Junior Katie O?Callaghan (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) led the Blue Jays in kills with 14. This is the seventh straight match which O?Callaghan has led the Blue Jays in kills. O?Callaghan also picked up 12 digs in the match. Senior Betsy Baydala (Rockville Center, NY/Southside) continued her balanced scoring this season by collected 21 assists, seven kills and 12 digs.
Freshman Natalia Fijalakowski (Windsor, CT/Windsor) was second on the team in kills with nine, while junior Jen Hajj (Boca Raton, FL/Pope John Paul II) added eight kills in leading JHU to victory. Freshman setter Mary Gorski (Birmingham, MI/Shrine Catholic) collected 18 digs for the Jays in the win.
The Blue Jays will be in action again on Saturday when JHU plays host to Bryn Mawr at 1 pm.
