PRINCETON, NJ - The Johns Hopkins water polo team picked up one win and lost its second game in CWPA Southern Division action at Princeton's DiNunzio Pool on October 1. The Blue Jays defeated Salem International 9-7 and lost to #13 Princeton 11-8.
Sophomore Sean McCreery led Hopkins with five goals while senior James Singleton added two goals off two shots. The Blue Jays trailed 2-1 after the first quarter but took a 5-4 lead at halftime and used three final-period goals to clinch the win.
Against Princeton, sophomore Chris Hemmerle scored a season-high five goals and McCreery added two to pace the Blue Jays. The game was tied at three after the first period before the Tigers outscored the Blue Jays 3-1 in the second and 4-3 in the fourth.
