BALTIMORE, MD - Behind two goals apiece from freshman Kate Dunn (Westford, MA/Westford Academy) and senior Kaitlin Giannetti (Montclair, NJ/Montclair), the eleventh ranked Johns Hopkins women's soccer team picked up a 4-2 win over McDaniel on Wednesday night. The Blue Jays (13-2, 8-0) won their fifth straight game and remain undefeated at home this year with the win. The win also clinches a playoff berth for the Blue Jays.

Giannetti pushed the Blue Jays lead to 2-0 with her ninth goal of the year off a pass from Cassandra Vogel (Laurel Hollow, NY/Cold Spring Harbor). McDaniel cut the lead to 2-1 in the 33rd minute as Jamie Janowich played the ball forward to Kelly Neal and Neal beat the defender for the goal.
Giannetti gave Hopkins a two goal lead back as she scored her second goal of the night in the 50th minute, this time off a pass from fellow senior Nikkole Haines (Ramona, CA/Ramona). Dunn got her second goal of the game, just one minute later off a scramble in the box. McDaniel rounded out the scoring in the 73rd minute as Sarah Wallace got her team-leading seventh goal of the year off a pass from Melanie Armstrong.
