A lay-up by Carolyn Konstanzer at 15:47 of the first, gave Ursinus a 13-3 lead it's largest of the game. Wynn's free throw started a 5-2 run by the Blue Jays to take their first lead of the game at 21-20 with 5:26 to go in the half. Dodrill had four straight points for the visitors. Ursinus took the lead back at 3:39 on a lay-up by Sarah Hennessey. Wynn hit a pair of free throws at 3:17 to tie the game but those would be the last points of the half for Hopkins as Ursinus scored the final five to take a 28-23 lead to the locker room.
