Freshman Erica Suter (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) was the first to score for the Blue Jays, denting the scoreboard in the 12th minute with her shot off a Jenn Paulucci (Manalapan, N.J./Freehold Boro) cross. Sophomore Claire Pelura (Malvern, Pa./Episcopal Academy) fired a shot past the Green Terror keeper to put Hopkins up 2-0 at 25:41. Pelura's goal was assisted by Sara Tankard (Clarksville, Md./River Hill).

In the second half, freshman Leslie O'Brien (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) recorded the second goal of her career in the 57th minute. Five minutes later, the Blue Jays scored again, going up 4-0 on a Paulina Goodman (Van Nuys, Calif./Van Nuys) goal at 62:48. The goal was Goodman's first since September 27. Both O'Brien and Goodman's goals were unassisted.

Zazzali scored her first goal of the game at 66:48 off of a corner kick as Hopkins took a 5-0 lead. Senior Francesca Peretti (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) notched her second goal in four days with her score in the 74th minute, fed by Ava Sheininger (Westfield, N.J./Morristown-Beard).

As the game clock ticked, McDaniel goalkeeper Lauren Strumsky came under a firestorm, giving up three goals in just under five minutes. Zazzali found the net again, heading in her second goal from another corner kick at 77:10. Tankard registered her second assist of the game on the goal.

Sheininger struck a shot past Strumsky at 79:09 off of a Zazzali shot that was blocked by the Green Terror defense. In all, the Blue Jays out-shot McDaniel, 29-5.

The goal gave Hopkins an 8-0 win on the road and its ninth Centennial Conference victory. The Blue Jays earned their sixth shutout in conference play and 12th overall on the season. Hopkins is first in the Centennial standings with 27 points and a 9-0 league record. The No.7 Blue Jays earned the right to host the conference tournament with their win over Bryn Mawr on Saturday.
