Junior Paulina Goodman started the scoring for the Blue Jays just 1:25 into the game. Junior Erica Suter dribbled up the left side and crossed it to Goodman, who was waiting in front of the net and knocked in her sixth goal of the season to give Hopkins a 1-0 lead.
In the 18th minute JHU found the back of the net again, as Suter found freshman Pamela Vranis for what would prove to be the game-winning goal.
Suter continued to wreak havoc on the Green Terror defense just over three minutes later, this time scoring off a feed from senior Erin Stafford to give the Blue Jays a 3-0 advantage. The goal was Suter's team-leading 10th of the season.
Just 21 seconds before halftime the Blue Jays struck again, as Stafford tapped in the rebound off the post from a shot by senior Allie Zazzali to give Hopkins a 4-0 lead at the intermission.
Freshman Amanda Yaccarino carried the Blue Jay scoring barrage into the second half, notching her second goal of the season in the 57th minute. Yaccarino collected a loose ball, dribbled around a McDaniel defender and fired a shot to the far post from about 15 yards out for a 5-0 lead.
Yaccarino assisted on junior Ava Scheininger's third goal of the year 10 minutes later to give the Blue Jays a six-goal edge.
Freshman Kelly Baker completed the JHU scoring in the game's 76th minute. Baker notched her third goal of the year off a feed from classmate Christina Convey.
