ASTON, PA - The 17th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's soccer got back in the win column on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win over host Neumann in non-conference action. The Blue Jays up their record to 6-1-1, while the Knights fall to 3-2-1 on the season.

Junior midfielder Tony Gass (Durham, NH/Oyster River) got things going early, scoring his first career goal in just the fourth minute off a corner kick from junior Sean Coleman (Lee, NH/Exeter/UNH). Exactly 18 minutes later Coleman found the back of the net for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Senior goalie Ravi Gill (Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) made five saves to earn the win and his third shutout of the season. Bob Mastrillo finished with six saves in the loss for the Knights. Hopkins, which improves to 3-0-0 all-time against Neumann, had the advantage in shots (13-11) and corner kicks (6-2).

Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, September 25 as the Blue Jays travel to Haverford to take on the Fords in Centennial Conference action. Game time is slated for 3:00 pm at Walton Field.
