BALTIMORE, MD - The 21st-ranked College of New Jersey women's soccer team scored five unanswered goals to power past No. 17 Johns Hopkins, 5-1, Wednesday night at Homewood Field.

Katie Landrigan scored two goals for the Lions, while Katie Lindacher notched a goal and an assist. TCNJ scored three goals in a span of seven minutes to break the game open midway through the first half.

The Blue Jays took control of the game less than five minutes into the match when a Kelly Baker shot barely crossed the goal line. Baker brought down a shot from teammate Taylor Schulte at the top of the box and quickly turned and fired toward net for the goal.

Hopkins' early success was short-lived, however, as the Lions stormed back in the 23rd minute on a goal by Lindacher. The junior forward gathered a looping long ball from Lori Genovisi and chipped goalkeeper Meredith Maguire on the breakaway to draw TCNJ even at one.

Allyson Anderson then put TCNJ ahead, 2-1, with a scorching shot from the left corner of the 18-yard box into the upper 90's in the 33rd minute. Four minutes later, the Lions' Amy Van Dyk challenged Anderson with a phenomenal goal of her own, striking a shot from 30 yards over the lunging hands of Maguire.

Landrigan capped off TCNJ's scoring outburst with a pair of goals in the 40th and 61st minutes to give her side an insurmountable four-goal advantage.

The Lions outshot the Blue Jays, 13-8, as Kendra Griffith made four saves in net for the visitors.

Hopkins returns to action against Haverford on Saturday at Homewood Field as it begins a five-game conference stretch to end the season.
