ELIZABETHTOWN, PA -- Jesse Meaney's pin in the final bout of the match at 141 lifted host Elizabethtown to a 19-18 victory over visiting Johns Hopkins in non-conference wrestling action Tuesday night. Meaney's pin capped a back-and-forth match that saw the lead change hands three times in the final four matches.

Johns Hopkins led 12-7 after freshman Kyle Spangler's 7-5 win over Dylan Carmichael at 184. Etown took its first lead of the match with back-to-back wins at 197 and 285 as Phillip Landis decisioned Evan Johnson, 4-0, and Jeremy Rieth followed with a 7-4 win over Joey Tilson.

Circling back to 125 after the match at 285, Johns Hopkins got a 5-0 win by sophomore Paul Bewak to make it 15-13 and junior Ray Yagloski followed with a 12-7 win over Chad Lammer at 133 to make it 18-13. That set the stage for Meaney, who needed just 73 seconds to secure his fall over Michael Koren and give Etown the victory.

The teams split the first four matches with Henry Stauber opening the match with a 6-0 win at 149 for JHU. A Christian Salera pin at 157 gave Hopkins a 9-0 lead, but Etown scored wins by regular decision and major decision to make it 9-7. Spangler followed with his win at 184, but Etown took three of the last five matches to secure the win.
