Hopkins (4-6, 2-4 CC) scored well above its season average of 54 points, as Vassila notched her fifth double-double of the season. The Blue Jays were excellent from the free throw line, including an 8-for-10 effort from the freshman Tommasi.

McDaniel (3-4, 2-2 CC) -- averaging 72 points-per-game entering the contest -- had no problem keeping pace with the Blue Jays, however. The Green Terror shot 6-for-10 from beyond the arc in the first half, as Steph Perez' nine points kept her side within two points at the break, 39-37.
Hopkins and McDaniel traded leads in the second half, before the Blue Jays took the lead for good with 3:45 remaining on a jumper by Vassila. Tommasi and teammate Stacy Fairey wrapped up the contest in the final two minutes by knocking down six-of-eight shots from the free throw line.
