BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins volleyball team matched a season-high 13 service aces to coast by Washington College in straight sets (25-11, 25-20, 25-18) Thursday night in Goldfarb Gym.

The Blue Jays extended their home winning streak to 20 consecutive matches, while earning their 16th consecutive regular season conference victory.

The Blue Jays' Jasmine Warmington won the battle between the conference's leaders in kills, tallying 13 kills (.407). Kristin Lee, meanwhile, was held to a meager .054 hitting percentage with seven kills for the Shorewomen.

Fresh off its first loss in 16 matches, Hopkins (17-1, 2-0) notched a .344 hitting percentage and used an 18-6 run to win the first set handily, 25-11.

The Blue Jays were less effective in the second and third sets, but never wavered en route to 25-20 and 24-18 set victories, respectively.

Senior Becky Paynter had a match-high 19 assists and three service aces, while fellow senior Amelia Thomas led Hopkins with nine digs. Lauren White had 18 assists for Washington College (7-9, 2-1), as Kate Liccione and Lee combined for 18 digs.

The Blue Jays look to extend their conference winning streak Sunday at Goldfarb Gym against Swarthmore at 11:00 am. Hopkins has defeated the Garnet 18 consecutive times dating back to 1993.
