Hopkins Wraps Up Regular Season With Sweep Vs. Dickinson

CARSILE, PA - Junior Meagan Donohoe led Hopkins with 15 kills and three service aces, as the Blue Jays went on to sweep Gettysburg 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19) on the road Saturday afternoon. The win moves Hopkins to 11-12 on the season and 7-3 in the Centennial Conference at the conclusion of the regular season. After Muhlenberg defeated Swarthmore 3-0 earlier today, Hopkins was cemented as the No. 4 seed in the conference playoffs.

Efficiency was the name of the game again today, as Hopkins hit .273 and held Dickinson to only 19 kills and a .036 hitting percentage for the match. Junior Mariel Metalios posted 23 assists for the Blue Jays, while sophomore Stephanie Yokoyama recorded 15 digs at the libero spot. Hopkins was able to put up 10 blocks against the Red Devils, the team's highest total since posting 12.5 vs. Swarthmore September 28.

As the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Centennial playoffs, Hopkins has the right to host the play-in game against Gettysburg on Wednesday, November 6. Stay tuned to Hopkinssports.com for details on the match.
