WESTMINSTER, MD - Senior Kotaro Mitsuhashi scored a pair of goals to lead the Johns Hopkins men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over host McDaniel on Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays improve to 9-5-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the conference, while the Green Terror fall to 7-8-1 and 1-6-1 in the CC.

It took the Blue Jays nearly 59 minutes to get on the board and they did with a penalty kick. Mitsuhashi took the kick, his second of the season, and scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season at the 58:24-mark. He pushed Hopkins' lead to two in the 88th minute when he dribbled in and blasted a shot from 20 yards out past Green Terror goalie Nick Over.

Hopkins outshot McDaniel, 20-2, and had 13 corners to just three for the hosts. Sophomore Matt Paris was not forced to make a save in earning his sixth shutout of the season. Over made four saves and got a defensive save from a teammate in the loss.

Hopkins returns to action and closes out the regular season on Saturday, November 1 against the Washington College Shoremen. The game is slated for a 4:30 pm start at Homewood Field. Hopkins will honor its seniors prior to the start of the game.
