BALTIMORE, MD - Junior Ciara McCullagh finished with a career-high 19 points, as Hopkins cruised past Bryn Mawr 83-24 Saturday afternoon. It was the highest point total of the season for the Blue Jays, who had every player score at least two points in the contest. Hopkins improves to 15-6 with the victory, while Bryn Mawr drops to 1-11 on the season.
The game was never in doubt, as Hopkins got off to a 13-0 lead in the first half and stayed ahead the rest of the day. Junior Jessica Brown finished with a season-high 10 points, and freshman Caroline Corcoran posted her career-high with nine. Hopkins shot 48.1% from the field and finished with 37 total field goals.
It was a special day for Bryn Mawr senior Nicolette Parmese, as she became the school's all-time leading scorer with her first field goal at the 15:19 minute mark in the opening half. Parmese had a team-high 12 points in the game, and was honored with a game ball after the shot was made. The Levittown, NY native now has over 1300 career points for the Owls.
The Blue Jays will return to the court when they travel to face Gettysburg on February 12. The last time the teams met on December 3, Hopkins secured the 69-59 victory led by senior Alyssa Fleming's 15 points.
