ST MARYS CITY, MD - The No. 6 ranked Johns Hopkins women's soccer team defeated St. John Fisher 3-0. The win is the second of the season for the Blue Jays.

Senior Hannah Kronick scored 13 minutes into the game, putting the Jays ahead early. The Blue Jays dominated play in the first half, out shooting the Cardinals 12-0 in the first half.

The second half was much of the same, with the Jays offensive onslaught continuing. After a save by the Cardinals goalkeeper on a Maryalice McKenna shot, and a high Sydney Teng shot, sophomore Meg Van de Loo found the back of the net in the 53rd minute. Teng had the assist. Later in the second half, freshman Bailey Monaco scored her first collegiate goal following an Adrienne Johnson assist.

The Hopkins defense was solid all afternoon, allowing just two shots throughout the game. Junior Sarah Bennett started in goal and got the win for the Blue Jays.

After a successful opening weekend, the Jays are back in action Wednesday for their home opener against No. 9 Messiah . Game time is slated for 7 p.m., at Homewood Field.
