ROANOKE, VA - The Johns Hopkins Blue Jays women's soccer team suffered a tough overtime loss, 2-1 on Saturday. The Jays led until Lynchburg's Dessi Dupuy nailed a header into the back of the net with :34 seconds left in regulation. In the second overtime, Angela Bosco notched the game-winning goal.

The Jays started the scoring five minutes into the game as Maryalice McKenna ball from Amanda Masse and nailed a shot into the upper right corner. The goal was McKenna's first of the season.

After the goal, the pace of play in the first half kept up, as Hopkins notched seven shots in the half, to Lynchburg's six. In the second half, the pace slowed, with the two teams combining for only five shots. Hopkins could not capitalize on 12 corner kicks in the game, including one in overtime.

Sydney Teng led the Jays with five shots, and freshman goalkeeper Clara Aranguren posted six saves on the day.

The Jays are in action again tomorrow as they play Roanoke College, at 5 p.m.
