BALTIMORE, MD- Despite having just six healthy players, the Johns Hopkins volleyball team rolled to a straight set victory Saturday at home vs. Ursinus. With the victory, the Blue Jays head into an 11 day break with a 9-9 overall record and are now 5-1 in Centennial Conference play.

How it Happened:
- Hopkins scored the first three points of the opening set, but Ursinus battled back to tie it at three each. After leading 5-4, JHU went on a 20-2 run to win the set 25-6 on a kill from Kristi Rhead.
- The second set went back and forth for a bit and was tied at seven until UC went on a run and took a 14-11 lead. Hopkins countered with a run of its own, scoring eight straight to go ahead 19-14. During the JHU run, Grace Haselhorst served up five aces in a row. With the Blue Jays leading 22-16, the squad scored the last three points to clinch the set and take a 2-0 advantage.
- In the third set JHU and UC again went back and forth early and were deadlocked at 11-11 at one point. The Blue Jays went on a small run to take a 17-14 lead before the Bears scored four straight to go ahead 18-17. Hopkins ended the match with eight straight points to clinch the straight-set victory.

Inside the Box Score:
- Elizabeth Wuerstle led the Blue Jays with 12 kills, hitting .500 on 20 swings.
- Haselhorst finished with six service aces, while Stephanie Yokoyama added five.
- Kristi Rhead led the match with 23 assists and also hit .444 with five kills on nine swings.

Next up: The Blue Jays will enjoy a nice break before returning to CC play Wednesday, October 21 at Dickinson.
