? The Short Story: Fourth-ranked Redlands used a big second quarter to fuel a 10-5 win over the second-ranked Johns Hopkins water polo team Friday afternoon. The Blue Jays got a pair of goals each from freshmen Giorgio Cico and Andreas Katsis.
How it Happened
? In a low-scoring first quarter, the teams were tied at 1-1 after the first eight minutes. The teams traded goals in the first four minutes of the second quarter before the Bulldogs scored three straight to take a 5-2 lead into the half.
? Redlands kept it up at the start of the third, scoring just 20 seconds in to push its lead to 6-2. Hopkins answered with a 3-2 spurt to make it an 8-5 game with 5:46 to play. The Bulldogs would tack on two more before the end of the game.
