The Short Story: The third-seeded Johns Hopkins water polo team got goals from 12 different players, including a hat trick from senior co-captain Kevin Yee, en route to a 17-5 win over Salem International. The Blue Jays move into the semifinals of the 2015 CWPA Southern Division Championship and face host and second-seeded Bucknell.

How it Happened
• Johns Hopkins scored the first 10 goals of the match, pushing out to a 10-0 lead by the 5:00-mark of the second quarter. Senior co-captain Kevin Yee completed his hat trick in the first 6:56 of the match and his first goal of the match was the 200th point of his career.
• Salem International got on the board with 4:44 to play in the half, but Hopkins answered with three straight to take a 13-1 advantage. The Tigers would score with just one tick remaining in the half to make it a 13-2 game at the break.
• The teams went back-and-forth to open the third quarter before back-to-back Hopkins goals gave the Blue Jays a 16-4 lead heading into the fourth. Each team would score in the final stanza to account for the 17-5 final.

• Johns Hopkins advances to the CWPA Southern Championship semifinals for the 12th time in 19 appearances.
• The Blue Jays are now 12-4 all-time against the Tigers and have won eight straight in the series.

• Senior co-captain Kevin Yee led the Blue Jays with three goals, including the 200th point of his career. He is the 14th player in school history to reach the mark and is the third to do so this year, joining classmate Langdon Froomer and junior Matt Fraser.
• Freshman Josh Kurtz tied his career high with five assists in the match, while Froomer also totaled five points (2g, 3a).
• Fraser and sophomore Dimitri Herr notched three points (2g, 1a) apiece in the win. Sophomore Jono Gillette drew three ejections, while Fraser and freshman Andreas Katsis each drew two.

• Johns Hopkins takes on host Bucknell for a spot in the CWPA Southern Championship. The match is slated for a 4:40 pm start on Saturday.
