The Short Story: Brown outscored Johns Hopkins, 8-1, in the final 15 and a half minutes of the match to defeat the Blue Jays, 15-7, in water polo action Saturday morning at the Bucknell Bison Invitational. The Blue Jays suffer their first loss of the season while the Bears snap a two-game skid to improve to 4-2.
How it Happened
? With the match tied at 1-1, Johns Hopkins got back-to-back goals from freshmen Giorgio Cico and Andreas Katsis to take a 3-1 lead into the second quarter.
? Brown stormed back with three unanswered goals to go up 4-3 with 5:37 to go in the quarter. Cico and junior Blake Range then sandwiched goals around a strike by the Bears and it was 5-5. Brown would have the final say of the quarter, scoring a pair of goals in the final 2:24 to go up 7-5 at the half.
? Hopkins struck first in the third as Cico netted his third of the game to pull the Blue Jays within one. But the Bears answered with six straight in a run that stretched into the fourth quarter as they took a 13-6 lead. Range temporarily ended the run with a five-meter goal at the 5:45-mark. But Brown would score the final two goals of the match to take the eight-goal win.

? Johns Hopkins is now 7-12 all-time against Brown, which has won the last two meetings.
