• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's soccer got a goal from junior Drew Collins and four saves from classmate Bryan See as the Blue Jays beat the Washington College Shoremen, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
• Junior Jonah Muniz nearly put the Blue Jays on the board in the 13th minute but his shot from the top of the box hit the crossbar, then bounced down and away.
• Hopkins went ahead in the 37th minute, capitalizing the first of its two corners in the game. Senior Victor Osio took the corner, sending the ball out to junior Drew Collins. He settled the ball and then ripped a shot from 25 yards out just past the outstretched hands of Josh Samuels.
• Osio had a chance to double Hopkins' lead early in the second half, but his one-on-one shot just missed the mark.
• Junior Bryan See preserved the shutout with a pair of point-blank saves in the 84th minute.

What it Means

• The win secured the three seed and a first-round bye in next week's Centennial Conference Tournament.
• Hopkins snapped Washington College's seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) as the Shoremen had not lost in the month of October.
