BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins wrestling team closed out the regular season portion of its 2015-16 season by winning one of three Centennial Conference duals at Goldfarb Gymnasium on Saturday. The Blue Jays opened the day with a 38-3 victory against Muhlenberg before falling to Ursinus (36-6) and the Merchant Marine Academy (36-6). With today's results, the Blue Jays finish the regular season at 3-6 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial.

Against Muhlenberg: The Blue Jays jumped out to a 32-0 lead and picked up their most decisive win of the season with the 38-3 victory. In addition to a pair of forfeits at 125 and 133, Johns Hopkins got bonus-point wins from junior Alex McLaughlin and 165 and Hayden Good at 285. McLaughlin scored a 19-1 victory over Jim Coiley with four sets of four-point near falls in the second period fueling the win. Good scored a pair of first-period takedowns before pinning Christian Schmid in 2:04.

Against Ursinus: The Bears jumped out to a 33-0 lead and never looked back in recording the win over Johns Hopkins. Ursinus recorded three wins by fall, a technical fall and a major to build the 33-point lead. Hopkins got wins by a decision from freshmen Isaac Morales and 184 and Miles Gilliam at 197.

Against Merchant Marine: The Mariners mixed in a pair of pins to go along with four victories by decision to jump out to a 24-0 lead. Hopkins then got victories from Jared Forman at 174 and Morales at 184 to trim the deficit to 24-6 with two matches remaining, but a pair of first-period pins for Merchant Marine accounted for the 36-6 final score.

Honoring Evan: Johns Hopkins honored its lone senior, Evan Krumheuer, with a pre-match ceremony. Krumheuer wrestled for the final time at Goldfarb Gymnasium today and is now 15-7 on the year.

A Perfect Day: Freshman Isaac Morales was the only Johns Hopkins wrestler to go 3-0 on the day as he picked up three wins by decision. Morales improved to 11-15 on the year, including 4-4 in the Centennial Conference.
