• Early in the second half, Hopkins had a flurry of chances in a four-minute span to get on the board. In the 54th minute, sophomore Cole Rosenberger had a header off a Samy Ramadane corner that looked like it would break the deadlock, but Thut knocked it away. Freshman Connor Jacobs had a great chance on a diving header in the 57th minute but it was punched away and junior Drew Collins was denied by a kick-save in the 58th.
• Swarthmore had a pair of chances in the 66th and 73rd minutes, but shots by Kyle Richmond-Crosset and Zach Viscusi were high over the crossbar.
• The Garnet ended the game in the 94th minute when Ryan Ward dribbled in and passed the ball across the six-yard box to Tommy Sheehan. He one-timed the ball into the lower right corner to win it.
