? The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins volleyball team tied the team record for consecutive wins as the Blue Jays defeated McDaniel 3-1 to notch their 16th straight win. Hopkins has also won 16 straight Centennial matches, which is two away from tying the team record of 18.

How it Happened
? The Blue Jays found themselves behind early in the first set, as the Green Terror got out to a 7-3 lead. Hopkins would slowly chip away and eventually got to within one at 14-13. McDaniel would earn the next point, however, back-to-back kills from Kristi Rhead and Elizabeth Wuerstle would tie the match at 15, and an attack error would put Hopkins up by one at 16-15. The two teams would go back-and-forth with neither team able to get ahead by more than two points. Tied at 24, Wuerstle would give the Blue Jays the lead and an attack error on a double block from Rhead and Louisa Kishton would give Hopkins the first set, 26-24.
? McDaniel got out to a 14-6 advantage in set number two, and eventually claimed the set 25-12.
? JHU led 9-8 in the third after a kill from Marlowe Embry, but the Blue Jays responded with a 5-0 run to go up 14-8. The Green Terror would slowly come back and get to within two at 16-14 on an attacking error by the Blue Jays, however, Hopkins would pull away and take set three, 25-20.
? Johns Hopkins got out to an 8-1 lead in the fourth set and would continue to build upon its lead and take the fourth set 25-13 to win the match 3-1.

? With the win, Hopkins has now won 16 straight matches, which ties the team record for consecutive victories.
