• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team finished off an undefeated Centennial Conference regular season with a 2-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall on Senior Day on Homewood Field.
How it Happened
• Less than 20 minutes into the game, Michelle Santangelo ran from the left side of the box and took a shot from the side of the post that deflected off Diplomat's goalkeeper Gabby Panayotakis for the 1-0 lead at 18:41.
• Riley O'Toole gave the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead as she took a Santangelo pass and put a shot into the right side of the net at 47:51.
• Sabrina Graziano had the best scoring opportunity for F&M in the second half but her shot was turned away by Robyn Lipschultz and the Blue Jays went on to claim the 2-0 win.
What it Means
• Today marked the final regular season home game for the seven seniors on the team: Bess Kitzmiller, Leslie Bruni, Bailey Monaco, Sophie Murphy, Michelle Santangelo, Thea Harvey-Brown and Hallie Horvath. The seniors have been a part of two Centennial Conference Championship teams and have made the NCAA Tournament three times.
• Hopkins improves to 23-3-2 all-time against the Diplomats and remains unbeaten in the last 22 matches.
• This is the fifth time that the Blue Jays have not lost a conference regular season game.
