? The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team rode a pair of first-half goals to a 2-0 win over eighth-ranked Haverford Saturday night at Homewood Field.

How it Happened
? Hopkins took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute off sophomore Achim Younker's team-leading seventh goal. Freshman Alejandro Maclean slotted a perfect through pass to Younker in the box. Younker ran onto the ball and buried what proved to be the game-winning goal.
? Junior Gerrit Church gave the Blue Jays' a two-goal cushion in the 38th minute off a free kick. Hopkins drew a foul 22 yards from goal and Church took the kick. His shot deflected off a defender and slipped just under the cross bar.

What it Means
? Hopkins improves to 28-22-6 all-time against Haverford and snaps a six-game losing streak in the series. The win is the first over the Fords since a 2-0 win at Homewood on September 16, 2012.
