Â
How it Happened
• Fordham jumped out to a 3-1 lead but goals from seniors
Andreas Katsis and
Giorgio Cico tied the game with 6:19 to play in the second. The Rams responded with seven straight goals in a run that spanned 12 and a half minutes.
• Senior
Josh Kurtz ended the run and made it a 10-4 game with his man-up goal with 23 ticks remaining in the third quarter. Samuel Varshisky and Phillip Wang then sandwiched goals around one from Katsis and the Rams led 12-5 with 6:34 to play in the game.
• Freshman
Emerson Sullivan and sophomore
John Murphy answered with three straight for the Blue Jays to pull within four with 4:40 on the clock. But the Fordham defense would not allow Hopkins to get any closer. Jake Milller-Tolt would tack on a five-meter goal with 10 seconds left to account for the 13-8 final.
