• The Short Story: Three players scored in double-figures as the Johns Hopkins women's basketball team knocked off Franklin & Marshall, 65-54 on Tuesday night.

How it Happened
• The Diplomats led 10-6 in the first quarter before back-to-back buckets from Lillian Scott tied the game at 10. F&M went on a 9-0 run to end the quarter and take a 19-10 lead.
• Trailing 20-11 in the second quarter the Blue Jays scored the next 11 points capped by a Sophia Way three to take a 22-20 lead. Way scored seven of the 11 Hopkins points during the run.
• Two free throws from Scott put Johns Hopkins 26-22 and her three moments later gave JHU a 29-24 advantage with under a minute remaining in the half. Emily Moran connected on a jumper for the Diplomats to make the score 29-26, however, Scott streaked down the court to convert on the layup with two seconds remaining as Hopkins took a 31-26 lead into the locker room.
• The Blue Jays built their lead up to 10 in the third quarter and a layup by Lexie Scholtz at 6:24 gave JHU a 12-point advantage. She followed that with a steal and layup to give Hopkins a 42-28 lead. Not to be outdone, Scott dove for a loose ball, came up with it and went down the court uncontested for the layup to put JHU up by 16 at 4:28.
• Sarosha Parsons converted the three-point play and Kristin Hamill hit a layup to bring the Diplomats to within 11 at 3:14. Marissa Varnado ended the F&M run with a three to put JHU up 47-33. Scott then hit her third three of the game to give the Blue Jays a 17-point advantage. Hopkins took a 52-33 lead into the final quarter.
• Parsons got the JHU lead down to 11 with a jumper at 4:26 to make the score 56-45, but Scholtz responded for Hopkins with a layup to put the Blue Jays back up 13. A three-point play from Hamill cut the Hopkin's lead to ten, and she followed that up with a layup to bring the Diplomats to within single digits at 58-50.
• The Diplomats got to within six with a layup by Hamill at 1:08, but the Blue Jays would go 7-8 from the line in the final 45 seconds to win the game 65-54.

What it Means
• The Blue Jays hold a 47-30 advantage in the all-time series and have won the last 11 meetings.
• This is the seventh game this season Scholtz, Scott and Way have all scored at least ten points in a game. Hopkins is 5-2 when the three juniors all score in double-digits.
• JHU improves to 13-0 when holding its opponents to 60-points or less.

Inside the Box Score
• The Blue Jays out-scored F&M 21-7 in both the second and third quarters.
• Scholtz finished just short of her second career triple-double as she finished the game with 12 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.
• Scott led Hopkins with 19 points and she grabbed six rebounds in the game while Way finished the game with 18 points.
• Rory Cole finished the night with 11 rebounds, five points, and two blocks.
• The Blue Jays held F&M to 35.5% shooting from the floor and 10% shooting from deep.
