YORK, PA – The 13^th-ranked York wrestling team won four-of-five bouts between 141 and 174 to turn a 5-5 tie into a 22-9 lead and the Spartans went on to top visiting Johns Hopkins, 29-12, in non-conference wrestling action Friday night.  The Spartans improve to 9-3 with the win while the Blue Jays slip to 3-5.

Where the Match Was Won
After the teams traded wins by technical fall to open the match, the Spartans jump-started their match-deciding run at 141 as Blake Shalbert topped Connor Mauriello, 2-1, to grab an 8- 5 lead they would never surrender.  York also got a technical win at 149 and an overtime pin at 174 to fuel the spree.

Morales Upsets Fourth-Ranked Krauss, Reaches Milestone
Johns Hokins senior Isaac Morales picked up the Blue Jays' final win of the night when he scored a 5-4 win over fourth-ranked Frankie Krauss at 184.  Krauss entered the match with a 22-1 record, riding the crest of a nine-match winning streak and his only previous loss came to third-ranked Khamri Thomas of Johnson & Wales.  The win for Morales was 75^th of his career.

Cavallo, Reyes Add Bonus-Point Wins
In addition to the win by Morales at 184, Johns Hopkins also got a technical fall victory from senior Ricky Cavallo at 133 (15-0 over Tyson McDuffy) and a major decision win from sophomore Dominick Reyes at 157 (12-2 over Robert Fleming).  Cavallo, who is ranked seventh in the nation, improved to 18-2 on the year and 59-20 in his career; the technical fall was the 13^th of his career.  Reyes bumped his season record to 11-3 and his career mark to 41-19.

What's Next
JHU will return to action on Saturday, January 26 when the Blue Jays travel to McDaniel to take on Gettysburg and the host Green Terror.
