Diarra Oden Named Centennial Player Of The Week After Career-Day

The Sophomore Guard Netted A Career-Best 27 Points

LANCASTER, PA - Sophomore guard Diarra Oden was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week after an impressive season-opening showing in a 64-53 victory over York College. Oden shattered her previous career-best mark by 11 points, scoring 27 points in the win.

The sophomore did more than just score points in the contest, pulling down seven rebounds, dishing out three assists and nabbing three steals. The Atlanta, Ga. native shot 9-20 from the field, 1-3 from behind the arc and an impressive 8-9 from the charity stripe. The sophomore captain has taken on a bigger role both as a leader and on the court for the 2019-20 season.

Johns Hopkins will return to action with two home games this week. The Blue Jays welcome Susquehanna to Goldfarb Gymnasium on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. before hosting Messiah College on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m.
