Seniors Lead The Way In 3-1 Blue Jays Victory

Rocks, Maheras & Coulson All Score On Senior Day

How it Happened
• Nicolette Runko gave the Diplomats the lead just nine minutes into the contest, as she was able to beat a defender and sneak one past Caitlin Hendricks in the ninth minute.
• Johns Hopkins answered back in the 23rd minute when Maddy Rocks chipped one towards the far post, sailing over the hands of Ghorashi and caroming off the goalpost and into the net for a 1-1 tie. Emily Maheras picked up her third assist of the season on the goal.
• The Blue Jays took charge in the second half, peppering the Diplomat defensive third with chances and breaking through once more in the 51st minute. Rachel Jackson deflected the ball back to Emily Maheras who took a deep shot with her left foot and stuck it in the top-right corner of the net for a 2-1 lead.
• Less than a minute later, Maggie Coulson received a feed from Rocks and sent a rocket, screaming over the head of Ghorashi, and into the net for a 3-1 lead.

• Johns Hopkins clinches a spot in the Centennial Conference Tournament Semifinals with the victory.
• With a Gettysburg loss or tie, Johns Hopkins will earn the #2 seed in the Tournament.
• The Blue Jays have gone 24 straight without a loss to Franklin & Marshall.

• Maheras' 12th goal makes her the 18th player in Johns Hopkins women's soccer history to score 25 goals.
• Rocks and Coulson joined Maheras to make all three Senior Day goals scored by members of the senior class.
• The Blue Jays outshot F&M 20-5 in the contest.
