LANCASTER, PA – A program record-tying seven Blue Jay student-athletes were named to the 2019 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, while senior
Louisa Kishton, juniors
Nicole Hada and
Natalie Aston, and sophomore
Eleni Panagopoulos were all named to the Fall Academic All-Centennial team. Kiston was also selected as the 2019 Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The Centennial Conference selects a Scholar-Athlete of the Year in each sport, awarded to the student-athlete in junior or senior standing that possesses the highest cumulative grade point average among members of the All-Centennial Team. Sporting a 3.97 GPA in chemical and biomolecular, Kishton was one of three Blue Jay Fall student-athletes to earn Scholar Athlete of the Year honors (R.J. Moore, men's soccer; Carly Lupton-Smith, women's soccer).
To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in class standing and attain a GPA of at least 3.40. In addition to Kishton, Hada, Aston and Panagopoulos, senior
Hannah Korslund, and juniors
Rachel DePencier and
Morgan Wu were also named to the team. It was just the second time in program history that the Hopkins volleyball team placed seven members on the Fall Honor Roll (2012).
The four Academic All-Centennial members earned their spots by being members of both the Academic Fall Honor Roll and the All-Centennial Conference teams. Hopkins has now placed 84 members on the Fall Academic Honor Roll dating back to 1994, and has had at least five selections in each of the past five seasons.
