th-ranked Lynchburg 2-0.
How it Happened

Emily Maheras kicked off the scoring for the Blue Jays just over four minutes into the contest, ripping one past the keeper and into the net for an early 1-0 lead. Hopkins appeared to have another fantastic chance in the 20
th minute, sending a ball in to pull Lynchburg keeper Caitlin Dorsch out of the net, but a strong effort defensively prevented a JHU shot.
• Lynchburg didn't pose many offensive threats until late in the first half, forcing a
Caitlin Hendricks diving save to keep things at 1-0 with seven minutes left in the half. Hendricks added another save in the final minute of the first half, sending Hopkins into the break with the lead.
• The Blue Jays got a great look early in the second half, but an outstanding save was made, forcing a corner and ultimately ending in a defensive stop for Lynchburg.
• Johns Hopkins picked up another goal late to ice the game away, as
Rachel Jackson scored in the 85
th minute to make it 2-0.
