Blue Jays Use Late Goal To Knock Off #7 TCNJ

JHU Wins First Road Game Against Top-10 Opponent Since 2013

The Basics
Score: #8 Johns Hopkins - 2, #7 TCNJ, - 1
Records: JHU (4-1-1) • TCNJ (3-1)
Location: Ewing, NJ • Lions Stadium
The Short Story: Hopkins used a 71st minute goal from Maddy Rocks to knock off #7 TCNJ in a top-10 matchup.

How it Happened
• Emily Maheras scored her team-best fourth goal of the season off a feed from Maddy Rocks in the 28th minute to tie things up at 1-1 after a 26th minute goal from Randi Smith put TCNJ on top 1-0.
Rocks broke a 43-minute tie in the 71st to give Hopkins the lead for good. Maggie Coulson sent a free kick off the crossbar, but Rocks was there to tap it in for the Blue Jays. The goal was her first of the 2019 season.
• Caitlin Hendricks turned away TCNJ's final on goal look in the 86th minute, saving a low shot from Ally Weaver. Hendricks had five saves in the contest, earning her second win this season.
