The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's swim team picked up 11 wins in 16 events to defeat host and 12
th-ranked Carnegie Mellon Saturday afternoon.

• "That was a great meet! It's so rare that we get to swim a high stakes D3 dual meet. It was also a long day of travel and we've been dealing with a lot of sick swimmers, so it was exciting to see the team rise up to the occasion and come home with the win!"
Top Finishers
• Hopkins made a statement in the first event of the day, sweeping the top three spots in the 200 Medley Relay to jump out to a 15-2 lead. Sophomore

• Overbey followed with a win in the 1000 Free as she touched in 10:41.37. Freshman
Chase Lahr was the top Blue Jay in the 100 Back with a time of 1:00.03.
• Wang won the 100 Breast as she clocked in at 1:08.21. Hopkins then swept the top three spots in the 200 Fly, led by freshman
Emerson Davis. She posted an NCAA B time of 2:05.43 for the win. Sophomore
Elaine Lipkin took second (2:08.16), followed by Ssengonzi (2:11.02) in third.
• The Blue Jays then went one-three in the 50 Free. Bisignani beat the Tartans' Madeline Hoedemaker by just one-hundredth of a second to win with a 24.91. Lin finished in third place with a time of 25.07.
• Sophomore
Sophia Girgenti then took second in the 100 Free in 53.81, while junior
Hanan Bandak took third in 53.97.
• Okubo followed with a second-place finish in the 200 Back, clocking in at 2:05.39. Cortez finished in fourth place in 2:08.90.
• Overbey picked up her second win of the day, touching first in the 200 Breast with a 2:26.75. Wilson placed fourth with a time of 2:33.89.
• Junior
Emma McElrath cruised to a win in the 500 Free as she beat the field by more than nine seconds (5:05.36). Wang finished in 5:16.82 for third place.
• Ssengonzi took the top spot in the 100 Fly, by just five-hundredths of a second, as she finished in 57.86. Petersen finished in third place as she touched in 59.43.
• Lipkin then edged out Okubo for first place in the 400 IM by four-hundredths of a second. Hopkins closed out the meet with first, third and fourth-place finishes in the 200 Free Relay. Petersen, Alicea-Jorgensen, Bisignani and Wang earned the win with a time of 1:36.04. Cortez, Bandak, Shapiro and Lin finished in 1:40.65 for third. And finishing in fourth with a time of 1:42.78 were Wilson, junior
