How it Happened
• After Matthew Dillard struck out the side in the first inning, the Cardinals were able to get on the board in the second. Justin Graham roped a lead-off double, advancing to third on a groundout to second base. After striking out the next batter, Dillard allowed an RBI single to Ryan Simmons, giving St. John Fisher the early lead.
• Another extra base hit started the third inning for the Cardinals, as nine-hole hitter, Stephen Edgett crushed a leadoff triple into the gap in right. Antony Mandova singled to left, driving in Edgett for a 2-0 lead.
• In the bottom of the third, James Ingram crushed a solo shot to right, cutting the deficit in half.
• Mantova struck again in the top of the fifth inning, cracking a double to right center, scoring Edgett from second. With two outs, Mantova stole third, scoring on a wild pitch moments later to earn a 4-1 lead for the Cardinals.
• With two outs in the bottom of the fifth, Mike Eberle laced a double down the left field line. Eberle came around to score as Chris Festa lined a pitch back up the middle, cutting the deficit to 4-2.

Kenneth Westbrook entered the game for the Cardinals and proceeded to walk Ritchie, putting JHU up 5-3.
• SJF answered in the top of the seventh, tying the contest at 5-5. Ben Keever hit the lead-off batter, Murphy, sending head coach Bob Babb to the mound for a pitching change. With Jaspar Carmichael on to pitch, Murphy moved up to second on a wild pitch before coming around to score as Pasquale roped a ground-rule double. Brian Norsen snuck one through the infield, scoring Pasquale to tie the game up.
