The Short Story: Host Ursinus rode a first-half goal to a 1-0 win over the Johns Hopkins men's soccer team Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.

How it Happened
• Ursinus capitalized on an early free kick and scored what turned out to be the game's only goal in the 13
th minute. Kevin Devlin played a long ball into the box off the free kick. Joshua Coster flicked it on in traffic and Marco Grenda tapped it in from close range.
• The Blue Jays were relentless in their pressure on the Bears' goal in the second half, firing off 10 of their 11 total shots in the period. But the Ursinus defense would not surrender the equalizer.

• Hopkins falls to 38-8-2 all-time against Ursinus as the Bears snapped a 24-game winless streak against the Blue Jays.
