The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins water polo team dropped a pair of road Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference games Saturday at 17
th-ranked Fordham and Wagner.

How it Happened • Fordham
• Fordham scored the game's first two goals before Hopkins got on the board with a
Cameron Burns goal at the 2:22-mark in the first. The Rams responded with four straight over a two and a half minute span to go up 6-1 with 6:36 left in the second.

Jake Pearson ended the run with a man-up goal at 6:04, but back-to-back Fordham goals put the home team up 8-2. Sophomore
Paul Gensbigler got one back for the Blue Jays to cut the deficit to five. Once again the Rams answered, scoring two goals in the 46 seconds of the quarter to take a 10-3 lead into the half.
• Graduate student
Olin Shipstead opened the third quarter with a goal but Fordham responded with nine unanswered goals in a run that spanned the final 11 and a half minutes of the game.

How it Happened • Wagner
• Wagner jumped out to a four-goal lead before Pearson scored to put JHU on the board with 4:38 to play in the first. Vuk Bulajic and Gensbigler then traded goals and it was 5-2 Wagner at the 3:48-mark.
• Shaked Yacoby scored 40 seconds later to spark a five-goal run by the Seahawks as the pushed out to a 10-2 lead. Sophomore
Seth Berke ended the run with a goal for the Blue Jays at 3:41 in the second. Mattia Bognolo got one back for Wagner, but JHU responded with three straight to pull within 11-6 at the half.
• The Seahawks erupted for seven goals in the third quarter, to just three for the Blue Jays, as they took a 18-9 lead into the fourth quarter. Yacoby and Jerry Alamo sandwiched goals around a strike from senior
Jayden Kunwar as Wagner earned the 20-10 win.
