Half
Not happy with being shutout for the first time all season a week ago, the Johns Hopkins offense came out guns blazing. Gordon keeper Tori Paine was called upon early, making a save on a
Sophia Stone shot in the second minute, but the Blue Jays got their second shot of the contest past her.
Katie Sullivan found senior forward
Rachel Jackson who found the back of the net for the seventh time this season. In the fourth minute,
Caitlin Hendricks was called to action for the first time, saving Call Ashley's shot attempt. After Paine saved
Amaya Ellis' shot in the 15th minute, Hopkins got another look in the 20th and capitalized. This time it was graduate forward
Riley O'Toole who deposited her second goal of the season. Subbing on right after the goal,
Abigail Gerdes put one on net in the 31st, but Paine added another save to her total and kept it a two-goal deficit. Shelby Jones put a shot on goal for Gordon in the 36th, but Hendricks was there to make her second save of the half for the Jays. Gerdes got a final look for the half in the 42nd minute, but Paine saved it for the Fighting Scots.Â
