BALTIMORE, MD – For the second time in three weeks,
Katie Sullivan has been named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. This is the third consecutive week a Blue Jay has earned Player of the Week honors, as Sullivan earned the honor on October 19th and
Bonnie Shea earned Defensive Player of the Week honors on October 26th.
Sullivan didn't need a ton of time to do her damage this week, scoring a pair of goals, both of the game-winning variety, in just 97 minutes. The freshman forward is the team's leading scorer this season with 10 goals and 23 points. Sullivan has registered a point in seven straight games and she has scored a goal in six of her last seven contests. On Wednesday night, she wasted no time putting the Jays on the board against Dickinson, scoring early in the eighth minute. After a scoreless first half in Saturday's regular season finale, she beat the Franklin & Marshall early in the second half to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 victory and help the Jays to a perfect 10-0 Centennial regular season. Seven of Sullivan's 10 goals have been game-winners in 2021.
The Blue Jays will host the Centennial Conference Championship this weekend. Johns Hopkins will play the winner of tonight's contest between Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg at 7 pm on Friday night.
