Hopkins-Trinity Women's Basketball Game Canceled

Blue Jays to Resume Play on January 5 Against Dickinson

BALTIMORE, MD – In light of the recent surge of COVID cases nationwide, and in an effort reduce the risk that the resumption of conference play in January will be disrupted, the Johns Hopkins women's  basketball game against Trinity (CT), which was scheduled to be played in Goldfarb Gymnasium on December 30, has been canceled.  The game will not be rescheduled.

Johns Hopkins Director of Athletics Jennifer S. Baker and Blue Jay women's basketball coach Katherine Bixby made the decision to cancel the game after consulting with the head coach at Trinity and Johns Hopkins' own experts in public health.

Johns Hopkins (6-2, 3-1 Centennial) will return to action on Wednesday, January 5 when the Blue Jays welcome Dickinson to Baltimore.  The game against the Red Devils will jump-start a run of five Centennial Conference games in 10 days for the Blue Jays.
