th-ranked Penn State, 13-11, and give head coach

th career win.
Â
How it Happened
• Trailing 9-8 with 21:24 to play, the Blue Jays scored three unanswered to take a two-goal lead with 10:08 to play. Senior
Shelby Harrison sparked the run with a rocket of a shot on free position to knot the score at nine with 17:43 left. Graduate student
Maggie Schneidereith then gave Hopkins its first lead of the game at the 10:56-mark. She scooped up a loose ball, ducked inside her defender and scored from in-tight. Just 49 seconds later, Schneidereith found a cutting
Maeve Barker for a one-timer to put Hopkins up 11-9.
• Penn State answered with a Gretchen Gilmore goal off the dodge to snap a 15-minute scoreless drought with 6:23 to play. Senior
Aurora Cordingley cashed in on a free position shot at 3:51 to push Hopkins' lead back to two.
• Kristin O'Neill responded for the Nittany Lions when she rung a shot off the post and in to pull the home team back within one with 2:04 on the clock. Sophomore
Madison McPherson won the ensuing draw and after running the shot clock down, graduate student
Mackenzie Heldberg slipped a pass to Barker, who dropped her stick and scored with 46 ticks left. Harrison came up with the draw and Hopkins was able to run out the final 46 seconds to secure the win.
• With the game tied at two early, Penn State scored four goals in an eight-minute span to push out to a 6-2 lead midway through the half. Barker ended the run and ignited a three-goal run for Hopkins when she scored on a give-and-go with Heldberg at 14:13. Freshman
Eliza Bowman followed with a free position goal and then senior
Aurora Cordingley scored in traffic off a Heldberg pass and it was a one-goal game with 8:50 to go in the half.
• Maria Auth sandwiched a pair of goals around a high-to-low shot from Harrison and Penn State took an 8-6 lead into the half. Hopkins came out firing to start the second and quickly tied the game. Barker found Cordingley cutting in the left alley and she beat Taylor Suplee with a left-handed shot. Just 84 seconds later, Schneidereith took a pass from freshman
Abbey Hurlbrink and scored on a side-arm shot from seven yards out to tie the game at eight. Quinn Nicolai put the Nittany Lions back on top with a free position goal with 21:25 to play, but the Blue Jays would outscore them 5-2 over the final 18 minutes for the win.

Quoting Coach Tucker
• "This win, this game, this day, this battle that I just watched my team wage against a really good team, has taken my breath away," said Tucker. "This is a day, a game, a win that I'm never going to forget. In this most incredible of years, for these kids to get me something so special with all they've had to go through and all we've been through as a team, I am forever grateful for their fight and their hustle and their heart. This win is also a testament to all the women who came before them. I wouldn't be here without them and I am so thankful."
