Johns Hopkins and Stevenson Draw 2-2

The Basics
• Score: #23 Johns Hopkins-2, Stevenson-2
• Records: JHU (2-0-2) • SU (3-2-1)
• Location: Owings Mills, MD • Mustang Stadium
• The Short Story: Johns Hopkins and Stevenson battled to a 2-2 draw in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon in Owings Mills.

How it Happened
• Stevenson struck first when Edson DeMata stole the ball 30 yards out from the goal and dribbled in for the score in the seventh minute.
• Hopkins answered in the 32nd minute tying the game at one. Sophomore Tyler White sprung classmate Aidan Dunphy with a long clearing pass. Dunphy ran onto the ball, took several touches and then buried a left-footed shot to the left upper 90 from 19 yards out.
• The Mustangs retook the lead in the 52nd minute after earning a penalty kick for a Blue Jay handball in the box. Sean McDonald took the kick for Stevenson and scored on a shot that just went under the crossbar.
• Once again the Blue Jays answered and again it was the combo of White and Dunphy. Dunphy took a pass from White, and sent a back-heel pass right back to him. White took a touch and fired a left-footed shot from 30 yards out into the right upper 90 in the 67th minute.
